Senior Structural Design Specialist

The structural engineer is responsible for designing, analyzing and overseeing the construction of structural elements in food and beverage manufacturing facilities.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelops and reviews structural components for new facilities, expansions and equipment installations to ensure compliance with industry standards and local regulations.Conducts structural analysis and load calculations for buildings, mezzanines, pipe racks and utility supports to guarantee safety and integrity.Prepares and validates construction drawings, specifications and bill of quantities (BOQs) in coordination with civil and architectural teams to ensure smooth project execution.Ensures adherence to local building codes, food industry standards and safety regulations through regular site inspections and monitoring of construction quality.Collaborates with project managers, equipment vendors and contractors during planning and execution phases to ensure successful project outcomes.Supports feasibility studies, cost estimation and risk assessments for structural scopes to inform business decisions.Maintains documentation for audits, approvals and internal governance to facilitate efficient decision-making.Qualifications & SkillsA bachelor's or master's degree in civil or structural engineering is required. 5–10 years of experience in structural design and construction within food, beverage or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) manufacturing is necessary. Proficiency in STAAD.Pro, AutoCAD, Revit and MS Project is also essential.
