Job TitleShift EngineerJob Description SummaryJob DescriptionOperation & Maintenance of Residential InfrastructureOversee preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical systems, DG sets, water pumps, STP/WTP, HVAC, lifts, fire-fighting systems, and other building services to ensure uninterrupted operations.Safety, Statutory & ComplianceEnsure all equipment complies with statutory norms (fire safety, electrical safety, pollution control, lift inspection, etc.). Maintain valid certifications and coordinate periodic inspections with authorities.Complaint Resolution & Resident SatisfactionEnsure timely response and closure of resident technical complaints logged via portals or helpdesk. Monitor turnaround time and maintain satisfaction levels.Vendor & AMC ManagementManage service contracts, AMCs, and vendor performance. Verify service quality, approve work completion, and ensure timely renewals.Energy & Resource ManagementMonitor and optimize consumption of electricity, water, and other utilities. Implement energy-saving initiatives and sustainability measures.Budget & Cost ControlPrepare the annual maintenance budget, track expenses, and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.Team Leadership & TrainingLead the site technical team, allocate duties, and provide training on safety, operations, and new technology.Documentation & ReportingMaintain asset registers, maintenance schedules, complaint trackers, breakdown reports, and compliance records. Background & Experience3-5 Years of experience in technical operations, facilities management, or maintenance within residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments.Proven track record in managing preventive and breakdown maintenance of building services (electrical systems, DG sets, water treatment plants, HVAC, lifts, fire-fighting systems, etc.).Experience in handling statutory compliance, safety protocols, and liaison with government/regulatory bodies.Strong background in vendor management, AMC administration, and contract negotiation.Hands-on experience with budget preparation, cost control, and resource optimization.Proficient in using facility management software and maintenance tracking tools.Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.1.8.
