Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced and highly motivated professional to lead the setup and governance of our enterprise data catalog using Alation.This role is critical in ensuring our data assets are discoverable, trustworthy, and well-documented for business and technical users across the organization.You will play a hands-on role in establishing and curating the catalog, driving metadata management, and collaborating with data owners, analysts, and engineers to document key business metrics and data logic.The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years of experience in data stewardship, data governance, or data analytics roles, with strong SQL skills and the ability to query, analyze, and validate large datasets.Familiarity with ETL/ELT pipelines and data engineering concepts is also essential.Additionally, you will need proven experience translating technical data logic into business-consumable language, as well as strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.Experience working in cross-functional teams involving business, data engineering, and analytics is also required.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field is necessary.
