Collaborate with global teams to handle deployments, tuning, monitoring, troubleshooting, and automation.About the Role:Database AdministrationManage database provisioning, patching, and lifecycle maintenance for Microsoft SQL Server databases (2016, 2019, 2022, Azure SQL).Monitor and optimize system performance, availability, and capacityMaintain secure database configurations, roles, and permissionsPerformance & OptimizationAnalyze and optimize T-SQL queries, indexes, and schema designs to improve database performance.Troubleshoot locking, blocking, and deadlock issuesImplement proactive monitoring and alertingBackup, Recovery & High AvailabilityDevelop and document backup and recovery procedures to ensure business continuity.Manage HA/DR solutions (Always On Availability Groups, Log Shipping, Replication)Ensure compliance with RPO/RTO requirementsAutomation & Process ImprovementDevelop PowerShell and T-SQL scripts for automation and contribute to process improvement initiatives within HaloPSA and Azure DevOps.Improve Managed Services standards and runbooksRequired Skills & QualificationsYou must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, or equivalent experience. Three to five years of experience in SQL Server database administration within an enterprise or MSP environment is required.Advanced knowledge of SQL Server architecture, query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning is necessary. Expertise with SQL Server Agent, SSRS, SSIS, and PowerShell automation is also required.A strong understanding of Windows Server administration and Active Directory integration is essential.
