As a highly skilled Environment Artist, you will be responsible for creating immersive and photorealistic worlds in Unreal Engine 5.You will leverage your expertise in World Creator for procedural terrain creation and SpeedTree for vegetation modeling to craft visually stunning environments that meet the highest standards of realism.Develop realistic foliage ecosystems with trees, plants, grass, and ground cover that respond accurately to environmental simulation variables like wind, weather, time-of-day, and distance LOD transitions.Create cinematic-quality lighting setups suitable for real-time rendering using Lumen, HDRI, fog, volumetrics, and GI.Set up advanced shader networks for terrain, foliage, water, atmospheric effects, and surface detail.Key Responsibilities:• Build photorealistic environments in Unreal Engine 5• Create realistic foliage ecosystems• Develop cinematic-quality lighting setups• Set up advanced shader networks• Troubleshoot environment issues• Maintain consistent art direction and visual styleRequirements:3+ years of experience as an Environment Artist in Unreal Engine (preferably UE5)Expert knowledge of World Creator for procedural terrain creationStrong experience in 3D vegetation modeling using software like SpeedTreeProven ability to create photorealistic environments with full ecosystem world-buildingDeep understanding of real-time lighting, Lumen, HDRI setups, volumetric effects, and physically accurate renderingSolid understanding of materials and shaders, especially for foliage, terrain, and natural environmentsExperience with atmospheric simulation (fog, clouds, day/night cycles)Strong knowledge of PBR pipelines, texture authoring, and environment art best practicesA portfolio demonstrating high-level environment art and realistic simulationsNice to Have:• Experience with Quixel Megascans, Gaea, Houdini, or other procedural environment tools• Background in cinematics or real-time filmmaking• Understanding of environmental storytelling and scene composition• Ability to create custom vegetation assets manually when needed
