Role Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Product Owner to join our team and lead the development of data-driven solutions for our consumer-facing telco app. This critical role will bridge the gap between business strategy and data capabilities, ensuring our products and services deliver the best possible customer experiences. The Data Product Owner will collaborate with senior stakeholders, product managers, data engineers, and analysts to identify opportunities, prioritize initiatives, and translate complex data into actionable insights. You will be a champion for data-driven decision-making, leveraging cutting-edge analytics, AI, and data products to drive exponential value for our customers and our business.

Responsibilities:

- Strategic Partnership: Establish strong relationships with senior stakeholders across the organization to understand their priorities and translate them into clear, data-focused problem statements and roadmaps.
- Customer Advocacy: Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and pain points, using data to champion solutions that enhance their experience within our digital app ecosystem.
- Data Pipeline Optimization: Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to define key metrics, establish efficient data pipelines, and ensure data quality and integrity.
- Insight Generation: Transform raw data into meaningful insights through advanced analytics, AI, and data products, delivering both high-level dashboards and deep strategic analysis to inform decision-making at all levels.
- Proactive Innovation: Anticipate the needs of stakeholders, proactively identifying opportunities where data can drive significant business impact.
- Prioritization and Communication: Effectively manage a backlog of projects, balancing competing priorities, and communicating progress and insights to stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of emerging trends in data analytics, AI, and machine learning, applying these advancements to enhance our products and services.

Requirement:

- Proven Experience: 10+ years of overall experience with 8 years as a data product owner, or a data insights focussed role, preferably within the telecommunications or consumer app industry.
- Executive Presence: Demonstrable ability to communicate complex technical concepts to senior stakeholders, tailoring your message to their specific needs and priorities.
- Stakeholder Management: Proven track record of effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing competing priorities, and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong Technical Foundation: Expertise in SQL and data analysis tools (e.g., Python, R), with a deep understanding of statistical concepts and machine learning fundamentals.
- Strategic Mindset: Ability to translate business objectives into data-driven solutions, prioritizing initiatives that align with our overall strategy.
- Customer Focus: Passion for understanding customer behavior and leveraging data to improve their experience with our products and services.
- Adaptability: Openness to new technologies and methodologies, embracing change and driving innovation within the organization.
- Generative AI Familiarity: Working knowledge of Gen AI tools and potential applications in a business context is a significant plus.
