The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sourcing, product development, and cost negotiation.Sourcing and Vendor DevelopmentThe successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and evaluating suitable vendors for outsourced sportswear production across performance and lifestyle categories.They will build and maintain relationships with mills, trim suppliers, and garment manufacturers to ensure alignment of product specifications with vendor capabilities.Costing and NegotiationAnalysis and benchmarking of costing structures across vendors and regions will be a key responsibility of this role.The candidate will lead cost negotiations to achieve target margins without compromising quality or delivery timelines.Monitoring raw material prices and updating costing models accordingly will be an essential task.Cut-to-Pack ExecutionThe successful candidate will plan and coordinate the cut-to-pack process, ensuring alignment with tech packs, BOMs, and packaging guidelines.They will oversee vendor compliance with product specs, trims, and packaging requirements.Ensuring final products meet quality, fit, and compliance standards prior to handover will be a crucial aspect of this role.Cross-functional CoordinationThe Buying Merchandiser will work closely with design, technical, QA, and planning teams for seamless execution of development cycles.They will act as the key liaison between internal teams and external vendors for all development and sourcing-related matters.
