Role OverviewThe Radiology Denials Coder is a key professional responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and resolving claim denials related to radiology services. This role ensures accurate coding, identifies root causes of denials, and corrects or appeals claims in accordance with payer guidelines.Review and resolve radiology claim denials and appealsIdentify and correct coding errors, missing documentation, or payer discrepanciesEnsure compliance with CMS, AMA, and payer-specific coding guidelinesThis professional plays a critical role in maintaining high-quality coding standards while collaborating with billing and QA teams to track denial trends and recommend process improvements.Key ResponsibilitiesAccurately review and analyze radiology claim denials to identify root causes and implement corrective actionsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with industry regulations and guidelinesDevelop and maintain expertise in radiology coding and reimbursement methodologiesRequired Skills and QualificationsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and collaboration skillsProficiency in coding systems (CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS)Maintaining the highest level of accuracy and productivity is crucial in this role.
