Job DescriptionAs a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) per end-user requirements. You will also automate common infrastructure tasks and customer requests using Python, shell scripting, or other cloud tooling.You will provide architectural oversight and support for new implementations, upgrades, and migrations on/to Oracle cloud infrastructure. This includes effective collaboration with infrastructure teams, application development teams, testing, and release teams.You will mentor junior IaaS resources to expand the team's capacity and establish consistency among delivery consultants. You will also identify and escalate potential issues with solution design, packaged software, client resources, or anything else that impacts your ability to deliver according to expectations.Required Skills and Qualifications10+ years of work experience in any combination of engineering and consulting with any Hyperscaler, with increasing responsibilities, and with a special focus on Network design and implementation along with infrastructure design and automation.Hands-on skills with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or solutions from other providers, such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure etc. would be of required, especially with PaaS and IaaS.Ability to create, update, understand architecture diagrams based on end-user specs and implement the same.Experience with physical networking, understanding routing (expertise on BGP), firewalls, WAF, Network accelerators, CDN, Load balancers & SSL Certificates.Experience in deploying Firewalls, Load balancers and routers as a Virtual appliance in cloud infrastructure.In-depth knowledge of various cloud and on-premise networking components including connectivity between clouds/on-prem to cloud.Good understanding of IaaS Compute and operating systems, and compute migration methodologies and implementation techniques.Hands-on working knowledge of Terraform/Ansible & Python.Team player with strong interpersonal and excellent communication skills.BenefitsBe a trusted technical advisor to customers and solve complex Cloud Infrastructure and Networking challenges.Create and deliver best practices recommendations, tutorials, blog articles, sample code, and technical presentations adapting to different levels of key business and technical stakeholders.OthersStrong consulting skills to work in a professional manner with customer IT and business users.Proven ability in performing rapid assessments of clients' internal technology landscape and targeting use cases and deployments for Oracle Cloud technology.OCI knowledge/certification is preferred.
