Product Development EngineerWe are seeking a skilled Product Development Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining AI-enabled products that combine cutting-edge technology with real-world impact.Key Responsibilities:Maintain, improve, and extend our existing AI application with support from external development partners.Lead the build-out of new product features, including architecture, coding, testing, and deployment.Write clean, scalable code across the stack, utilizing technologies such as React, Node.js/Java, and Python.Manage engineering workflows, including Jira, code reviews, and quality standards.Support product discovery by translating user needs into product requirements.Integrate with AI components, including RAG pipelines, API-driven LLM features, and AI agents.Ensure reliability, security, and scalability of backend services and cloud infrastructure.Collaborate with cross-functional teammates, including client managers, analysts, and operations specialists.Participate in customer discovery calls to understand use cases and observe pain points.Work closely with our CTO to shape technical decisions and product strategy.Requirements:Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related field.2-3 years of software development experience.Strong skills in at least two of: React (front-end), Python, Node.js/Java.Understanding of APIs, microservices, and modern web app architecture.Exposure to AI concepts, including RAG, LangChain-style orchestration, and vector databases.Solid understanding of relational and non-relational databases, including PostgreSQL and MongoDB.Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.High ownership mindset, adaptability, and a strong bias for action.Why Join Us?Learn directly from a US-based CTO, ideal for those looking to fast-track their career.Take ownership of major parts of the product from day one.Clear career path: grow into Head of Engineering or Product Manager depending on strengths.Build products that combine AI and real-world impact.Work in a flexible, global, mission-driven environment.How to Apply:Respond with your résumé and GitHub link to hr@ubuntoo.com with the subject line: Application: Product Development Engineer
