About the role:
We are seeking a seasoned and motivated individual to join our security team as the Senior Security Engineer for SecOps & Incident Management. You will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our organization's information systems and data from cyber threats. You will get an opportunity to set this up, overseeing all aspects of our incident response program and driving enterprise-wide security initiatives
What You Will Be Doing:
● Development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our ability to respond and recover from security incidents. Aligning it with industry best practices and business objectives.
● Drive the Incident Response (IR) program, ensuring efficient detection, analysis, containment, eradication, and recovery from security incidents
● Own the requirements for logging, monitoring and alerting across the organization
● Collaborate with Engineering & IT teams, providing guidance on implementing and operating controls.
● Manage and prioritize security vulnerabilities, working with development and IT teams to implement effective remediation plans.
● Stay up-to-date on the latest cyber threats and vulnerabilities, implementing proactive security measures.
● Develop and maintain security procedures for the organization.
● Track and report on security metrics, communicating the organization's security posture to stakeholders.
What You Will Need for this Position:
● Minimum 5+ years of experience in information security, with a strong focus on incident response, logging, monitoring and alerting.
● Experience in solving for Data/Content Protection, Network Security, Infra Security & Endpoint Security.
● In-depth knowledge of incident response methodologies (e.g., NIST Cybersecurity Framework).
● Experience in infrastructure vulnerability management.
● Strong understanding of security best practices and industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, CIS Controls).
● Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
● Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
● Experience working with security information and event management (SIEM) and security orchestration, automation and response (SOAR) tools (a plus).
● Certifications in security (e.g., ISO27001, CISA, GCIH, ECIH) a plus.
