Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Business Development Manager - Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at Claro Energy. You will be instrumental in expanding Claro Energy’s footprint within the C&I sectors, including various government policy programs. You’ll identify new opportunities, develop strong client relationships, and create tailored solutions to meet the energy storage needs of diverse industries. Additionally, the role involves conducting market research, creating proposals, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure successful project implementation.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Business Development
- Identify New Business Opportunities: Research and target clients in the C&I sectors for Battery Energy Storage Systems.
- Lead Generation: Independently generate leads through industry networks, events, and cold outreach.
- Client Outreach: Build relationships with decision-makers, positioning Claro Energy as the trusted partner for energy storage solutions.
- Liaison with Government Departments: Collaborate with relevant government departments and public sector undertakings to explore opportunities and partnerships for BESS projects.
Sales Strategy & Execution
- Sales Pitch Development: Create and deliver impactful presentations, showcasing Claro Energy’s innovative BESS offerings and their ROI benefits.
- Deal Closure: Negotiate and finalize contracts, ensuring compliance with corporate and legal guidelines.
- Sales Pipeline Management: Track leads, engage consistently, and ensure timely follow-ups for a healthy sales funnel.
Market Research & Industry Analysis
- Market Insights: Analyze trends, disruptions, and opportunities in the renewable energy sector.
- Competitive Analysis: Monitor competitors to position Claro Energy’s BESS solutions effectively.
- Client Relations & Support
- Relationship Building: Cultivate long-term relationships by offering ongoing support and tailored solutions.
- Client Inquiries: Address technical and service-related questions, ensuring satisfaction and trust.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in business development and sales, preferably in renewable energy, infrastructure, or technology.
- Proficiency in market research, sales strategy development, and customer relationship management.
- Strong ability to independently generate leads and convert them into business opportunities.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a flair for creating compelling presentations.
- Robust negotiation and problem-solving capabilities.
- Expertise in managing sales contracts and ensuring compliance with corporate policies.
- Prior experience in the renewable energy sector, particularly energy storage or related solutions, is highly desirable.
