Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role located in Bengaluru for an Experienced Design Engineer specializing in Mechanical and Mechatronics. The candidate will be responsible for developing and improving mechanical and mechatronic designs, creating detailed product blueprints using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) software, Solidworks etc, collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure the successful completion of projects. You will be working on the development of robust product designs. The candidate will also analyze project requirements and contribute to design reviews to ensure compliance with company and industry standards. Regular communication with the team and stakeholders is essential to achieve project objectives effectively. Hence, good communication and visualisation capabilities are necessities. Qualifications Strong expertise in Design Engineering and expertise in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering principles Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software is essential for creating and visualizing designs. A solid understanding of core subjects is critical, including: o Mechanics and Strength of Materials. o Thermodynamics and Fluid Mechanics o Material Science o Machine Design and Theory of Machines Expertise in advanced analysis tools like Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is crucial for simulating and testing designs Knowledge of Electrical Engineering and ability to collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams Knowledge of manufacturing processes, including Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Assembly (DFA), is necessary for creating manufacturable products. The ability to create and interpret various types of engineering drawings, such as orthographic and isometric views Experience in Product Design, including prototyping and testing for quality assurance Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field Familiarity with industrial machinery and automation is advantageous Soft Skills Problem-solving: The ability to analyze problems, identify issues, and develop creative solutions. Critical thinking: The capacity to evaluate information and design concepts to make informed decisions. Communication: Clearly explaining complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences. Teamwork and collaboration: Working effectively with cross-functional teams. Project management: Planning, scheduling, and managing projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget. Adaptability: Staying current with new technologies, materials, and design software Attention to detail: A meticulous approach to ensure the accuracy and reliability of designs.  Experience We are looking for candidates with an experience of a minimum of 18 months and up to 48 months as a design engineer with exposure to the knowledge criterion described above. Freshers, please do not apply. Those candidates who have their own relevant licenced software are given some preference. Job Location The job location shall be in Bengaluru. The design engineer may be required to work from office in Rajarajeshwari Nagar or from the factory in Peenya. The design engineer must be prepared to accompany the Sales Application or Project Engineer for site study and/or understanding the site specific requirements.
