Given the criticality of Portfolio Company (PortCo) data to KKR's Private Markets business, a dedicated PortCo Data Operations function has been established. Structured within the broader Global Data Operations organization, this team is tasked with ensuring all data from KKR's 250+ Private Equity Portfolio Companies is controlled, consumable, and curated to deliver insights and analytics to key internal and external constituents.POSITION SUMMARYThe Portfolio Company Data Operations team is seeking a Professional level candidate to join a newly developed team in the Gurugram office. This role is an exciting opportunity for individuals seeking positions at the intersection of data and finance. This person will work with a global team and be responsible for data collection, quality, reporting, and analysis of financial data across a specific strategy.The ideal candidate would have the unique combination of business acumen, strong data analysis & technical skills, and a passion/interest in private markets investing. The candidate should also be knowledgeable of industry leading practices around data management & governance, have strong verbal/written communication skills, and be a good cultural fit with an emphasis on collaboration, excellence, and action-oriented results. ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIESPerform monthly and quarterly data collection and reporting from financial statements using portfolio monitoring technologyUphold disciplined and consistent data management; preserving a single source of truth for Portfolio Company data across its lifecycle, including on-boarding new companies, monitoring existing companies, and reporting on exit activitiesCreate, maintain, and enhance recurring executive-level dashboardsDeliver ad hoc financial and operational data requests to various stakeholders across the firmAid in the operationalization of the Portfolio Company Data Operations team by assisting with process documentation, onboarding, and trainingQuery databases to analyze financial metrics and create data products for the firmContribute as part of a team to the building of new financial data use cases and analyticsCollaborate with the global Portfolio Company Data Operations team across time zonesCommunicate and work closely with relevant teams to close data gaps in a clear and timely mannerServe as a reliable point of contact for data-related questions and updates from various internal and external groups QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required~4 years of finance/accounting, data analytics, data operations, consulting, or similar field requiredCertifications or advanced degrees in accounting, finance, analytics, or similar preferredProfessional experience analyzing financial statements – understanding of core financial metrics and concepts requiredProfessional experience analyzing large datasets and deriving insights strongly preferredExperience in Private Equity, Asset/Investment Management, or working with Private Markets data preferredTechnical Skills:Advanced proficiency in Excel requiredExperience with data visualization tools such as PowerBI or Tableau requiredBasic proficiency with SQL required, advanced proficiency strongly preferredExperience with cloud data warehouse solutions such as Snowflake, Databricks, etc. preferredExperience with other data languages such as Python or R is a plusExperience with Chronograph or other portfolio monitoring solutions is plusSoft SkillsDisplays high attention to detail, integrity, and professionalismAdaptable to learning new processes, concepts, and technologiesDemonstrates outstanding initiative and strong work ethicHighly collaborative and team-oriented but also can be self-directed to complete assigned tasksBuilds strong relationships with local and global colleaguesDemonstrates excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills#LI-Onsite KKR is an equal opportunity employer.  Individuals seeking employment are considered without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, marital status, ancestry, physical or mental disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, or any other category protected by applicable law.
