He / She should have strong CFD modeling skills & is experienced in using simulation tools to solve complex engineering problems & prove the hypotheses. Someone who can also bridge the gap between physics-based simulation and data-driven approaches such as Digital Twins, AI, and Machine Learning. The ideal candidate will play a key role in developing predictive models, accelerating design cycles, and enabling intelligent, connected products through hybrid simulation methodologies Corelate the actual application conditions into simulation models. Uses best practices & knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services. Works independently & able to guide others.Key Responsibilities / Functions:Works on identifying product design & development problems where CFD analysis can assist & accelerate development of products in device portfolio.Develop CFD models adhering to industry standards to analyze the problems related to the domain by thoroughly translating application conditions.Proactively validate / correlate results with real world data & makes model improvements as deemed necessary.Optimize designs through parametric and sensitivity studiesInterpret analysis results with respect to results obtained by lab testing procedures, converting these results into practical design suggestions.Generates high quality engineering test reports & presents results/conclusions to the design engineering community.Support development of CFD methods related to new technologies.Should be able to mentor junior engineers & help them improve their capabilities.Personal Characteristics & Attributes:Strong communication, documentation, and presentation skillsStrong technical writing skillsExposure/experience to work in a global engineering team environment.Strong analytical skillsCurious nature, team player & Self-starterStrong desire in learning new technologies & methodologiesFlexible in adapting to quickly changing business & task/ project priorities.Ability & willingness to travel locally, nationally, or internationally when required.Open to adapt other CAE skills like FEA as and when needed.Required Qualifications: (Education, Technical Skills/Knowledge)Ensure simulation problem definition, appropriateness, adequacy of simulation scope, correctness & completeness of CFD analysis.Experience with optimization frameworks [Optislang, Tosca etc]Handson experience in projects involving Multiphase and species transport analysis.A good understanding of Heat Transfer and Aerodynamics/fluid dynamics fundamentals.Skilled in CFD tools like Ansys Fluent, Star-CCM+, OpenFOAM etc.Strong CFD meshing knowledge in Ansys fluent meshing or HypermeshKnowledge of CAD Tools such as Spaceclaim/Solidworks is a must.Prior experience or comprehensive knowledge of experimental characterization techniques is preferred.Analysis report preparation and manual writing skills.Nice to have Requirements:Experience in heat exchangersPostprocessing tools such as Paraview, Ensight etc.Knowledge on Aeroacoustics is an advantage.Exposure to different international standards with respect to CFD modelling and testing.Following receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes as permitted or required by applicable law.
