Talkdesk solution supports millions of real time interactions on a scalable data platform across Voice and Digital Channels, offers several NLP and AI capabilities and provides actionable insights to administrators, agents and supervisors. Talkdesk AppConnect offers unparalleled integrations with industry leading apps. This position would be based in Bengaluru, will report to an Engineering leader, and would play a key role to design and implement highly reliable and feature rich services with end to end ownership of the services.Duties and Responsibilities:Assist in designing, implementing, testing, and maintaining SaaS services and features hosted on AWS, ensuring timely delivery and quality.Work in a modern agile software engineering environment (with source code control, dev/stage/prod release cycle, extensive automated testing, and continuous deployment).Collaborate with senior engineers to take ownership of microservices, adhering to safe deployment practices, and operate with a DevOps mindset.Implement microservices with a focus on security, reliability, and telemetry.Work closely with cross-functional teams (including Product Management, Principal Engineers, SRE, Platform) to align on architecture and design.Implement user-friendly, responsive frontend interfaces, learning best practices to enhance user experience and meet accessibility standards.Participate in backlog grooming and code reviews.Help identify technical debt and propose solutions.Support production incidents under supervision and contribute to root cause analysis (RCA).Stay updated with industry trends and technologies, sharing relevant insights with the team.Qualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.2+ years of experience in developing scalable and secure SaaS applications.Expertise in building modern, responsive UI using React with functional components and hooksExperience with TypeScript for maintainable codebases.Understanding of state management tools like React Context or Redux.Experience writing unit tests with Jest and React Testing Library.Knowledge of cloud telephony concepts (UCaaS, CCaaS), WebRTC is a plus.Passion for clean, maintainable, and standards-compliant codeStrong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn.Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a distributed team. Work Environment and Physical Requirements:Primarily office-environment work, extended periods of sitting or standing, computer-based work.
