API Management Architect

The goal of this role is to shape the future of API management by designing and implementing a robust platform that fosters innovation and growth.Key Responsibilities:Design and build APIs using IBM Connect, DataPower gateways, or equivalent platformsCreate governance policies for authentication/authorization (OAuth2, API-key, JWT), rate limits, quotas, versioning, and lifecycle managementManage API gateways: routing, transformation, orchestration, protocol mediation (REST, SOAP, GraphQL), and traffic controlPublish APIs, onboard consumers, and maintain developer portalsAnalyze usage patterns and performance metrics to identify areas for improvementEvaluate security risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure data integrityStay up-to-date with emerging protocols and technologies to drive business forwardThis position requires a deep understanding of API architecture, security best practices, and cloud-based solutions.
