Job Title: Associate Professor - Computer Science Engineering Department
Role Description:
We are seeking a highly qualified and passionate Associate Professor to join our Computer Science Engineering department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching, research, and contributing to the academic and professional growth of students in our B.Tech and M.Tech programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching and Instruction: Deliver high-quality instruction in computer science courses, including lectures, labs, and seminars for both undergraduate (B.Tech) and postgraduate (M.Tech) programs.
- Curriculum Development: Design and update course materials, including syllabi, assignments, and exams to ensure they are current and relevant.
- Research: Conduct innovative research in computer science, publish findings in reputable journals, and present at conferences.
- Student Mentorship: Provide academic and career guidance to students, supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research projects, theses, and dissertations.
- Assessment and Evaluation: Develop and implement assessment methods to evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Professional Development: Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated with the latest advancements in computer science and education.
- Administrative Duties: Participate in departmental meetings, serve on academic and administrative committees, and contribute to the overall functioning and governance of the department.
- Industry Collaboration: Establish and maintain collaborations with industry partners to enhance the practical learning experiences of students and foster research opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: A Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Teaching Experience: Proven teaching experience at the university level, particularly in B.Tech and M.Tech programs.
- Research Acumen: A strong record of research and publications in peer-reviewed journals.
- Professional Certifications: Relevant professional certifications (e.g., Cisco, Microsoft, AWS) are preferred but not required.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and effectively.
Skills:
- Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of computer science subjects such as algorithms, data structures, machine learning, artificial intelligence, databases, and software engineering.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to contribute to research and curriculum development.
- Leadership and Mentorship: Ability to mentor students and junior faculty, and lead research projects.
- Collaborative Skills: Proven ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, industry partners, and academic institutions.
