The Deputy Manager will assist in implementing policies and procedures that align with the institution's goals and enhance the overall admissions experience for prospective students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Admissions Process Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the admissions team.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of applications, from initial inquiry to enrollment.
- Assist in the development and implementation of admissions policies and procedures.
- Monitor and analyze admissions data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Coordinate with the Manager/Head of Admissions to set and achieve enrollment targets.
- Team Leadership:
- Supervise and mentor admissions officers and support staff.
- Conduct regular team meetings to ensure alignment with department goals.
- Provide training and development opportunities to enhance the team's skills and performance.
- Evaluate team performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Student Recruitment:
- Collaborate with marketing and outreach teams to develop and execute recruitment strategies.
- Participate in recruitment events, such as open houses, college fairs, and school visits.
- Build and maintain relationships with high schools, community organizations, and other stakeholders to promote the institution.
- Ensure that all recruitment activities are aligned with the institution's brand and values.
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Serve as a point of contact for prospective students, parents, and other stakeholders.
- Address inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Work closely with academic departments to ensure a smooth transition for new students.
- Maintain clear and effective communication channels with internal and external stakeholders.
- Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, accreditation requirements, and institutional policies.
- Prepare and present regular reports on admissions activities and outcomes to senior management.
- Assist in the management of the admissions budget and resources.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in admissions.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to improve the admissions process and enhance the student experience.
- Lead or participate in projects aimed at streamlining admissions operations.
- Implement new technologies and tools to support the admissions process.
- Contribute to the strategic planning and development of the admissions department.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Education, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in admissions or a related field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficient in data analysis and reporting.
- Knowledge of admissions processes and higher education industry trends.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Experience with admissions software and CRM systems.
