Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Lead System Engineer to manage a dynamic team, lead system infrastructure, and drive operational efficiency through automation and process improvements. This role is critical to ensuring our technical environment runs seamlessly and adheres to the highest standards of security and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Manage a team of 5+ system engineers, conducting monthly evaluations and feedback sessions to drive team growth and efficiency.
  • Process Improvement: Submit quarterly proposals to enhance process and infrastructure efficiency, driving improvements across the organization.
  • Escalation Management: Reduce the number of escalations from 30 to 5 per week, with a response time of 1 hour and resolution time of 2 hours.
  • Project Management: Manage and deliver one project per week, ensuring 100% on-time project completion.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with the CTO weekly, ensuring 100% completion of action points and providing status updates on key deliverables.
  • Outsourcing Support: Develop and support the full outsourcing of support services, aiming for completion within one year.
  • Reporting: Generate weekly reports on tickets, maintaining an employee satisfaction score of 9+.
  • Audits: Conduct annual audits following ISO 27001 and GDPR standards with 0 critical findings.

Expected Output:

  • Productivity Reporting: Establish reporting systems within 3 months to gain insights into team output and productivity.
  • On-time Delivery: Ensure 100% of projects are completed within the deadline, with an annual average of 40 projects.
  • Escalation Reduction: Achieve a reduction of escalations from 30 to 5 per week, with a resolution time of 2 hours.
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure 0 security incidents through continuous system monitoring and adherence to compliance standards.

Key Competencies:

  • Network Management: Expertise in managing networks, routing, switching, and network security.
  • Server Management: Strong experience in managing physical and virtual servers (Linux/Windows), including configuration, monitoring, and maintenance.
  • Automation & Scripting: Proficiency with automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform, and scripting languages like Bash and Python.
  • Security & Compliance: Knowledge of ISO 27001, GDPR, and other security protocols to ensure system compliance.
  • Backup & Recovery: Skilled in backup strategies and recovery procedures using tools like Acronis.
  • Monitoring & Logging: Proficiency with monitoring tools such as Zabbix and Graylog to monitor system performance and address issues proactively.
