Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Good to have master’s degree in computer science.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT licensing, with a focus on cloud-based licensing.
  • Strong understanding of software licensing laws and regulations, including copyright laws, end-user license agreements (EULAs), and open-source licensing models.
  • Experience with Azure pricing tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Operating System & software licenses (including but not limited to O365 / M365, RDS, 3rd party application, SQL etc) W.r.t. provisioning new licenses, renewing existing licenses, and managing license usage rights.
  • Track consumption of All licenses and maintain compliance with OEMs and local governing policies.
  • Track software usage, including analyzing usage trends, identifying areas for cost optimization, and recommending cost-saving measures.
  • Manage cloud subscriptions, including provisioning, renewing and managing quotas.
  • Track consumption includes analysis of usage trends, identifying areas of cost optimization and recommending cost savings measures.
  • Manage Azure licensing compliance, ensuring that the organization is compliant with Microsoft’s.
  • licensing agreements.
  • Optimize licenses to manage cost.
  • Stay up to date on the latest software licensing changes and best practices.
