JOB DESCRIPTION Job Role: Marine Officer Job Role ID: SECTION I: BASIC INFORMATION ABOUT THE JOB ROLE Job Role Variant: SPM Officer Manager Job Position: Marine Pilot Job Position ID: Value Stream: Asset Operations Job Family: Manufacturing Sub-Job Family: Marine SECTION II: PURPOSE OF THE ROLE To ensure safe and efficient transfer of crude oil and other cargo between ship and shore by managing the cargo operations in coordination with relevant teams, while adhering to safety standards as per the established regulations & guidelines. Ensuring mooring and unmooring of tankers at SPM. SECTION III: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE ROLE Responsibilities Policies, Processes and ProceduresConduct day to day activities & follow all relevant policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent mannerKeep self abreast with leading practices & trends and contribute to the identification of continuous improvement of systems, processes and proceduresBoarding Operations01. Ensure that pre-berthing checks of designated SPM are carried out by diving team as per check list and in order 02. Secure and cast off pull back tug at SPM in consultation with pilot03. Moor and unmoor SPM tankers04. Connect and disconnect SPM hoses05. Carry out ship shore safety check list and periodic checks during cargo operation06. Monitor and reconcile hourly cargo figure07. Monitor SPM position 08. Maintain effective communication between vessel, tug and shore09. Ensure compliance of crude oil washing requirement by crude vessel10. To assist in completion of cargo documentation11. Impart tool box talks to SPM hose crew12. Carry out bunker check of crafts13. Carry out inspection of support crafts14. Attend berthing and un-berthing of vessels and barges at LOLO jettySECTION IV: SUCCESS METRICSAccurate cargo measurementSafe operation at SPMSECTION V: OPERATING NETWORKInternal: Marine Operations Team, Health & Safety TeamExternal: Surveyors and Ship staffSECTION VI: KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCIESEducation QualificationsA bachelor's degree or equivalentExperience (Must have)1. Experience in underwater and offshore maintenance at SPM for at least 1 year& should be at least CD 2 diver as per IMCA standard or equivalent Indian Navy standard Experience (Good to have)Functional / Behavioral competencies required to execute the roleFUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIESSECTION VII: CAREER MOVEMENTSFeeder Roles: NAPossible Next Role Movement: Marine Superintendent
