Position: Assistant Product DeveloperObjective:Manage fabric sourcing, coordinate samples, support project planning, and collaborate with cross- functional teams to ensure timely product development.Job ResponsibilitiesManaging and assisting fabric sourcing activitiesAssisting the PM with email management, meeting deadlines, and overseeing project planning and completionConducting research on new fabric concepts and silhouettes relevant to the departmentCoordinating samples, strike-offs, and other design-related elementsInvolvement in CAD work for embroideries, new silhouettes, and artworksOrganizing mill visits and coordinating meetingsPosition RequirementsExperience in a previous fashion role (e.g., fabric sourcing, design, product development)Highly organized and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentSelf-motivated and capable of working independentlyComprehensive understanding of fabric types and millsCollaborative and a strong team playerConfident speaker and presenterPunctual and a clear communicatorCompetent in Adobe systemsFluency in Tamil language would be an added advantageOther Key Notes Regarding the Role:This role is primarily within the children's wear department, so a keen eye for newness in kids wear and babywear is desirable.The role involves working closely with the Product Manager on a daily basis, while also collaborating with the wider Product Team (including PMs and Assistants) and the general merchandising team within the department.
