About Us
Founded in 2010, Ekya Schools offers progressive K-12 education through CBSE, ICSE, and Cambridge IGCSE curricula, with an emphasis on experiential learning. Drawing from the legacy of the CMR Group, we nurture lifelong learners equipped to thrive in a dynamic and evolving world.
For the 2025-2026 academic year, we are launching Purpose-Based Schools—thematic schools where students develop specialized skills from a young age. The first of these, Ekya Nava, will focus on Innovation, Creativity, and Design, empowering students to become future technopreneurs, innovators, and changemakers.
Position Overview
The Head, Ekya Learning Center (ELC) will lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the curriculum across all campuses. This strategic leadership role focuses on empowering educators, enhancing teaching practices, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation. Success in this role requires aligning curriculum with Ekya’s vision, leveraging data-driven insights, and leading impactful professional development programs to ensure excellence in student outcomes.
Quick Snapshot - Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Design and Implementation
- Lead the design and rollout of curriculum across campuses and grades.
- Collaborate with instructional designers to develop subject-specific programs aligned with learning goals.
- Coordinate with Heads of Schools to ensure seamless curriculum implementation and alignment.
Team Building & Leadership
- Build, mentor, and manage a team of instructional designers and curriculum coordinators.
- Foster collaboration between the ELC team and educators to ensure effective communication.
- Establish a culture of continuous learning, reflection, and professional growth within the team.
- Professional Development for Educators
- Identify learning needs and curate relevant development programs.
- Organize workshops, training sessions, and bootcamps to enhance teaching quality.
- Provide opportunities for external certifications to keep staff aligned with the latest trends.
Data-Driven Performance Management
- Track academic data to identify strengths and areas for improvement.
- Offer actionable, data-driven recommendations to school leaders to improve student outcomes.
- Develop feedback mechanisms to ensure continuous development and impact measurement.
Innovation & Collaboration
- Explore and implement innovative teaching practices and technologies.
- Lead programs related to mindfulness, sustainability, and interdisciplinary learning.
- Engage with stakeholders—including parents, educators, and industry experts—to ensure alignment with Ekya’s goals.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Education: Master’s degree in Education, Curriculum Design, or Educational Leadership.
- Experience: 8-10 years in academic leadership, preferably in multi-campus or progressive schools.
- Skills: Expertise in curriculum design, teacher development, and performance management.
- Attributes: Strategic thinker, skilled collaborator, and committed to fostering educational excellence.
- Good to have: Familiarity with Cambridge, IB, or Montessori frameworks is a plus.
