**Job Overview:**We are seeking a highly skilled Mortgage Underwriter to join our team. As an Underwriter, you will be responsible for reviewing loan files for compliance with regulatory and client guidelines. You will analyze income, employment, credit strength, capacity to repay, property appraisal, title report, calculate LTV/CLTV/HCLTV/DTI/HTI, check all other information relevant to the credit decision process on each mortgage application.The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. They must be able to interpret state rules, statute laws, federal regulations & investor guidelines and apply them to specific loans. The candidate should also have experience in full origination mortgage processing, loan set up, loan documentation, closing, title, quality assurance, compliance, underwriting, or assisting with conventional first mortgage loan products.Key Responsibilities:Analyze loan files for compliance with regulatory and client guidelines.Review income, employment, credit strength, capacity to repay, property appraisal, title report.Calculate LTV/CLTV/HCLTV/DTI/HTI.Check all other information relevant to the credit decision process on each mortgage application.Interpret state rules, statute laws, federal regulations & investor guidelines.Maintain accurate records of loan data.Requirements:3+ years of live Mortgage Underwriting experience.Able to obtain and decipher AUS findings (DU and LP).Good verbal and written communication skills.Strong analytical skills.Attention to detail.Benefits:Potential for high earning potential.Night shift allowance.Incentives.About Us:We are a leading company in the mortgage industry.
