Title:Associate accountantJob Title ASSOCIATE ACCOUNTANT (Level 10)Division and/or Project HookKBR's Corporate Accounting team is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Associate Accountant to support global-level accounting and financial reporting functions. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, international environment, contributing to the accuracy and integrity of financial data across multiple regions. The ideal candidate will assist in month-end close activities, reconciliations, and reporting, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and international accounting standards.Summary Section  Responsible for executing accounting policies and procedures involving the maintenance of general ledgers, asset and liability accounts, analysis of balance sheet accounts, and management financial reporting. Under general supervision, and occasional direct supervision, performs assignments requiring experience and knowledge of standard concepts within the field of accounting.Responsibilities:  Perform accounting function and activities including one or more activities of Month end activities, journals like Accruals, Fixed assets accounting, account reconciliations, revenue recognition, overhead accounting, master data management, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and reportingRequire frequent communication and coordination with managers and other key stakeholders in various KBR offices globallyMaintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practicesShould adhere to all controls and compliance including SoX / business controlsProvide supporting documentation for audits.  Supports general business operations by providing administrative support actives such as data entry, reporting, correspondence, and basic analysis requiring attention to detailAny other functions as may be allocated by supervisorQualifications including Required Education, Experience, & Skills:Recognized professional qualification (CA/CWA/ACCA or CIMA) with relevant work-experience of 1 + years/Freshers or Semi-qualified professionals / Undergraduate / Post graduate degree in commerce with relevant work experience of 3+ yearsStrong accounting knowledge - provide full spectrum of accounting support including handling of full set of accounts; monthly closing of books, accounts reconciliations; management financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, anti-corruption and SOX complianceExperience in F&A of multinational companies including F&A shared services preferredCandidates with hands on experience in SAP, Costpoint, HFM, Cadency / AssureNet, MS Office etc. preferredExperience in General accounting, account or GL reconciliationCandidates are expected to be flexible with interest to learn and to be able to take up any given role in one or more of General Accounting / Account Reconciliation / Accounts Receivables / Cash Application / Accounts Payables / Project Accounting / Billing / Tax / Corporate Accounting that is best suited for the employee and as per the business needsCandidates are expected to possess analytical skills with attention to detailsWork requires professional English written and good verbal communication and interpersonal skillsShould be a Team PlayerAbility to create strong working relationships with global stakeholdersNeed to possess the KBR Leadership Imperatives recommended for this levelCandidates are expected to have continuous improvement mindsetShould be flexible regarding work timing (shift timings based on business requirement)Should be flexible regarding work from home vs work from office to be determined based on business requirementsPreferred Qualifications Education, Experience, & Skills:Recognized professional qualification (CA/CWA/ACCA or CIMA)/ semi qualifiedExperience in accounting, reconciliationBelong.
