Chief Investment Strategist

Key Responsibilities:Customized Investment Risk & Attribution Reporting: Production and review of accurate reports for various portfolios within specified timescales.Daily Exposure Calculation: Reporting of exposure for trading reporting of various funds and asset classes for global clients. Preparation of returns, attribution/contribution analysis, risk characteristics report of multi-asset (derivatives, equity, fixed income) multi-manager funds while creating and maintaining ad-hoc customized reports.Anomaly Identification: Identification, highlighting, and rectification of anomalies in attribution, risk numbers, and provision of proper justification.Communication and Reconciliation: Communication with other business areas necessary to improve accuracy and reliability of risk reporting. Returns & risk numbers reconciliation for EQ, FI, and derivative products on a daily/monthly basis.Proactive Research: Proactive research and provision of insight on investment risk, deviations from benchmark; asset allocation targets, and portfolio movements to clients.Data Maintenance and Coordination: Coordination with data providers, colleagues, and clients on issues relating to the quality and timeliness of data and the content of the reports. Data maintenance of various derivatives (e.g., bond forward/equity index option/irs/ccs etc.) and fixed income in application on a monthly and daily basis.Process Improvement and Documentation: Ensuring documentation of policies, procedures, and work processes and ensuring compliance with set procedures, any other assignments given by management from time to time. Work with other teams and team members working for the same projects and identification of business operational areas of improvements and proposal of appropriate action plans.Collaboration and Follow-up: Following up with business analysts for planning a process of new data acquisitions, providing the desired risk reporting solutions.Required Skills and Qualifications:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.Experience with risk reporting and data analysis.Knowledge of financial markets and instruments.Benefits:Opportunity to work with a dynamic team.Chance to develop skills in risk reporting and data analysis.Competitive compensation package.Other Information:Based in Malaysia.
