About the Role:Glean is looking for a talented Quality Assurance Lead  to join our rapidly expanding, VC-backed startup. Glean is the work assistant with intuition. We are professional, creative, passionate, and most importantly - customer-obsessed.As the QA Lead, you would develop and drive our test automation charter. The ideal candidate will be hands-on in building frameworks, tools, and infrastructure that enable efficient, scalable testing across Glean.   You will:Lead the development of our test automation frameworks, focusing on reliability, maintainability, and speedCreate reusable test libraries and components that can be shared across different product areasLead technical implementation of performance testing and monitoring solutionsDevelop custom reporting and analytics tools to provide insights into test coverage and quality metricsDrive adoption of newer testing technologies and approaches (visual testing, accessibility, security, AI-assisted testing, etc.)Provide technical mentorship to QA engineers on automation best practices and framework usageOptimize test execution pipelines for faster feedback in CI/CD environmentsImplement solutions for test data management and synthetic data generationPartner with development teams to implement shift-left testing practicesLead root cause analysis for critical issues and drive systematic improvements to prevent recurrenceParticipate in code reviews to ensure testability and quality considerations are addressed earlyAbout you:6-9 years of software testing experience with strong focus on automationExpert-level programming skills in Python or JavaDeep understanding of testing framework architecture (page objects, custom assertions, reporting integrations)Strong experience with modern testing tools (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress etc) and API testing frameworksExperience building CI/CD pipelines and working with ContainersStrong working knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, GCPExperience with performance testing tools and methodologiesProven track record of building tools and frameworks used by engineering teamsUnderstanding of testing patterns and anti-patterns in automationCompensation & Benefits:Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
