Job Description: Mechanical Engineer Purchase and ProcurementCompany Name: Yogiji Digi Location: Faridabad, Haryana Industry: Metal Sheet ManufacturingPosition: Mechanical Engineer Purchase and ProcurementJob Overview:Key Responsibilities:Vendor Management: Identify and evaluate new suppliers, negotiate terms and contracts, and maintain strong relationships with existing vendors to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products at competitive prices.Procurement Planning: Develop and manage procurement plans for raw materials, mechanical components, and machinery, ensuring that the production schedules are met efficiently.Technical Specifications: Collaborate with the design and production teams to understand technical specifications and quality standards required for mechanical components and raw materials.Cost Control & Budgeting: Analyze cost structures and ensure the company adheres to budgeted procurement costs while seeking opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.Quality Control: Ensure that all purchased materials and components meet industry standards and internal quality control measures. Liaise with the quality control department to address any discrepancies.Inventory Management: Work closely with the inventory team to maintain optimal stock levels of materials, reduce excess inventory, and prevent shortages.Supply Chain Coordination: Monitor supply chain performance and work with logistics teams to ensure on-time delivery and manage any delays or disruptions in the procurement process.Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of procurement transactions, supplier agreements, and product specifications. Provide regular procurement reports to senior management.Key Skills and Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.Proven experience of 2-4 years in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably in the metal sheet or manufacturing industry.Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and product specifications.Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build long-term relationships with suppliers.Familiarity with procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).Knowledge of quality control standards and techniques.Experience in the metal sheet industry or related manufacturing fields.Certifications in procurement or supply chain management.Knowledge of international sourcing and import/export processes.
