Role Description
Contineu is seeking an experienced Senior Android Developer to join our dynamic and inclusive team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Android development, with additional experience in iOS, and a proven track record of building and scaling applications from scratch.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Android and iOS applications
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers and other developers
Implement new features and optimize existing ones
Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation
Participate in code reviews and contribute to team best practices
Requirements
5+ years of professional Android development experience
Proven experience in developing Android applications from scratch and scaling them
Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different devices
Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and libraries
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Flutter
Good to have: Experience with Kotlin or Java
Good to have: Experience with Swift or Objective-C
Good to have: Experience with iOS app development
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
Experience with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
Contributions to open-source projects
