We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to help scale our platform and build the infrastructure that powers the next generation of product intelligence.Key Responsibilities:Design Scalable Services: Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services that process high volumes of data reliably and efficiently.Develop Event-Driven Architectures: Develop and optimize event-driven architectures and asynchronous processing pipelines.Build APIs: Build and improve APIs that power our dashboard, integrations, and external developer SDKs.Implement Data Storage: Implement robust data storage patterns for multi-tenant SaaS, ensuring performance, security, and isolation.Collaborate with ML/AI Team: Collaborate with the ML/AI team to integrate AI capabilities into production systems efficiently.Design Monitoring Systems: Design monitoring, alerting, and observability systems to ensure high availability and rapid incident response.Contribute to Security Best Practices: Contribute to security best practices including authentication, authorization, and secure credential management.Participate in Architecture Decisions: Participate in architecture decisions and help establish engineering standards as the team grows.Debug Production Issues: Debug and resolve production issues across distributed systems.Requirements:Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.Backend Experience: 5+ years of backend engineering experience, with significant work on production systems at scale.Language Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Python or similar backend languages.Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud platforms and serverless architectures.NoSQL Databases: Solid understanding of NoSQL databases, data modeling, and query optimization.RESTful APIs: Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.Event-Driven Architectures: Familiarity with event-driven architectures, message queues, and asynchronous processing patterns.Security Fundamentals: Understanding of security fundamentals: authentication, encryption, secrets management.Remote Work: Ability to work independently and drive projects to completion in a fully remote environment.Preferred Skills:Multitenant SaaS: Experience building multi-tenant SaaS platforms.Infrastructure-as-Code: Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipelines.Third-Party Integrations: Experience integrating with third-party APIs and OAuth flows.Cost Optimization: Knowledge of cost optimization strategies for cloud infrastructure.Billing Systems: Experience with billing systems and subscription management.NLP Systems: Background in processing text data or working alongside ML/NLP systems.Observability Tools: Familiarity with observability tools and distributed tracing.Engineer Mentorship: Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to engineering culture.Why Join Us?Impactful Work: Own critical backend systems that directly impact product quality and customer experience.Interesting Challenges: Work on interesting challenges: high-volume data processing, AI integration, real-time alerting.Autonomy: Enjoy the flexibility and autonomy of a fully remote position with competitive compensation.Innovative Infrastructure: Build infrastructure that helps thousands of product teams understand their users better.
