Senior International Payroll Specialist

About the team & role:Rubrik is looking for a Senior International Payroll Specialist to join our payroll team. This position involves handling payroll processing for countries across the APAC and EMEA regions. The International Payroll Specialist is part of the finance team and will report to the International Payroll Manager. In this role, you will work closely with the Accounting team, HR and Benefits team and the external payroll vendor.What you'll do:Ensure accurate and timely processing of end-to-end payroll for countries across APAC and EMEA, while maintaining strict confidentiality of dataAudit and validate payroll input and output reports received from the payroll vendorContinuously evaluate, analyse and streamline payroll processesCreate practices to minimise company risk pertaining to payroll tax compliance by countryUnderstand/research proper taxation of employer-paid benefits and country-specific payroll tax lawsResearch and investigate payroll discrepancies and employee payroll issuesAssist employees with questions and respond timely and with a customer friendly approachWork on various payroll initiatives to improve efficiency and complianceProcess monthly, quarterly, and year-end (other local statutory) reportingAssist in payroll general ledger accounts reconciliations, where applicableCreate and maintain Standard Operating Procedures/Checklists and ensure that policies and procedures are being adhered to (i. e. salary increases, bonus payouts and other compensation transactions) and keep written procedures updatedBuild strong working relationships with HR Partners, Benefits Team, Accounting and othersAssist with various projects Performs other duties as assigned by managementExperience you'll need:Detailed knowledge of international payroll processing and local rulesGeneral payroll accounting knowledgeExcellent customer service skills, have clear communication, and have the ability to work effectively with all personality types and under strict deadlinesHigh level of professionalism and demonstrated ability to communicate with various levels of managementProficient in Workday and payroll systemsStrong Excel skills requiredPristine work ethic and ability to handle sensitive and confidential material professionally.Effective decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills, and is a team player.
