Strategic Legal Operations Manager

About the RoleAs a seasoned legal professional, you will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end legal operations across India and US entities. This includes contract management, compliance governance, handling notices, coordinating with external counsel, and ensuring smooth cross-border operations.This critical business-enabling role will see you working directly with leadership across finance, HR, and operations to drive strategic growth.Key ResponsibilitiesEntity Compliance: Ensure regulatory compliance across US, India and NZ entities by handling legal notices, responses, and communications.Manage statutory and regulatory compliance under Companies Act, 2013, FEMA, Labour Laws, GST, and IT Act in India.Liaise with registered agents and advisors for Delaware franchise filings, annual reports, and state compliance.Maintain a master compliance calendar across all three entities.Contract Management: Draft, vet, and negotiate SaaS Agreements, MSAs, NDAs, Channel Partner Agreements, Vendor Contracts, and Consulting Agreements.Support sales and finance teams with customer contract reviews, renewals, and compliance with ASC 606 / GDPR / data-protection obligations.Maintain a contract repository, track renewals, and ensure timely renewals of customer and vendor contracts.Develop internal contract playbooks and templates for repeatable use.Legal Coordination & Advisory: Work with external counsel (India / US / NZ) for litigation, IP protection, employment law, and data-privacy matters.Provide legal inputs to internal stakeholders on business decisions, pricing models, and new market entry.Governance & Internal Policies: Draft, review, and update internal policies – Code of Conduct, Anti-Bribery, Data Protection, Vendor Onboarding, and Employment policies.Maintain documentation trails and version control for all legal and policy documents.Build scalable frameworks for risk management and contractual governance.
