Job Title: Software Quality Assurance EngineerKey Responsibilities:Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop test plans and strategies that align with business objectives.Design and develop automated test scripts using Python, Selenium, and Pytest to ensure efficient and reliable testing.Develop scalable automation frameworks for UI, API, and WebSocket testing to enhance testing efficiency.Perform REST API validations using Postman/Swagger to guarantee API integrity.Develop automated API test suites using Python/Pytest to streamline testing processes.Execute WebSocket test scenarios (real-time event/message validations, latency, connection stability) to ensure seamless communication.Execute functional, UI, smoke, sanity, and exploratory tests to identify defects early on.Validate applications in development, QA, and production environments to ensure quality standards are met.Log, track, and retest defects using Jira or Zoho Projects to maintain defect tracking accuracy.Ensure high-quality bug reporting with clear steps and severity/priority tagging to facilitate issue resolution.Use JMeter to conduct load, stress, and performance tests for APIs/WebSocket-based systems to optimize system performance.Analyze system performance and highlight bottlenecks to inform optimization efforts.Research and experiment with AI tools to enhance automation coverage and efficiency.Propose AI-driven improvements for regression, analytics, and test optimization to drive innovation.Communicate blockers, automation progress, and risks clearly to stakeholders.Create reports on automation execution, defect trends, and performance benchmarks to inform decision-making.Required Skills and Qualifications:Strong proficiency in Python programming language.UI Automation using Selenium (Python).Pytest Framework for efficient testing.API Testing – Postman/Swagger for API integrity.WebSocket Testing for real-time communication validation.Performance Testing using JMeter for optimized system performance.Knowledge of CI/CD tools (such as Jenkins) for streamlined testing processes.Knowledge of Git for version control and collaboration.SQL knowledge (added advantage) for database interaction and analysis.Functional/Manual Testing expertise for comprehensive testing.Solid understanding of SDLC/STLC & QA processes for effective testing methodologies.
