What you become a part of:

We are seeking a data-driven supply chain professional to manage pharmacy replenishment norms and distribution planning for our network of company-owned pharmacies in Africa. Based in India, this role will be responsible for designing replenishment frameworks, setting stocking norms, analyzing demand/sales data, and monitoring compliance by the in-country distribution teams.

The role is central to ensuring product availability, minimizing expiries, and driving supply chain efficiency in our retail pharmacy network.

What to expect:

Replenishment Norms & Frameworks

  • Define and continuously refine stocking norms, safety stock levels, and replenishment cycles for each pharmacy based on sales velocity and product criticality.
  • Develop and maintain guidelines for assortment management and seasonal demand variations.

Data Analytics & Insights

  • Analyze pharmacy sales, consumption, and stock movement data to create replenishment models and forecast requirements.
  • Track KPIs such as stock-outs, fill rates, inventory turns, and expiries across the pharmacy network.
  • Provide actionable insights to country supply chain and operations teams to improve availability and reduce waste.

Performance Monitoring & Governance

  • Monitor adherence of local distribution teams to defined replenishment norms.
  • Highlight exceptions (stock-outs, excess stock, expiries) and initiate corrective action with in-country stakeholders.
  • Drive standardization of replenishment processes across geographies.

Collaboration & Business Partnering

  • Work closely with Demand Planning, Sales Operations, Finance, and Quality teams to align replenishment strategies with business objectives.
  • Support country supply chain managers with data-driven decision-making and performance dashboards.
  • Act as the central supply chain "control tower" for last-mile pharmacy replenishment.

Essential qualifications, experience, and skills:

  • Graduate / Post-graduate in Supply Chain, Operations, Data Analytics, or related field. MBA preferred.
  • 4–5 years of experience in supply chain planning, retail replenishment, or distribution analytics, preferably in pharma retail, healthcare distribution, or FMCG retail.
  • Strong skills in data analysis, forecasting, and inventory modeling.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel/Power BI (SQL/Python/R a plus).
  • Understanding of pharma retail compliance (expiry, batch management, FEFO) is desirable.

Key Skills

  • Analytical and structured problem-solving.
  • Strong data modeling and dashboarding ability.
  • Business acumen in balancing availability with working capital.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders remotely across geographies.
  • Discipline in process design and governance.

  • Accuracy of replenishment norms and models.
  • Stock availability at pharmacies (% fill rate, stock-out rate).
  • Inventory turnover vs. expiry losses.
  • Adherence to replenishment norms by country operations teams.
  • Improvement in forecasting accuracy and working capital efficiency.

Work Environment:

  • This position is based in an office environment with occasional travel to manufacturing sites, suppliers, and other company locations as required.
  • The role may require extended hours during peak periods or in response to urgent supply chain issues.
