Job DescriptionCyber Security Engineer plays a pivotal role in safeguarding an organization's digital assets.Key Responsibilities:Security Architecture & ImplementationDesign, deploy and manage cybersecurity technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection and SIEM tools to fortify the security posture of cloud, network, application and endpoint environments.Implement security controls to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities.Develop and maintain secure system configurations and hardening guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).Threat Detection & Incident ResponseMonitor security alerts and logs to detect suspicious activities and investigate security incidents.Lead response efforts and perform root cause analysis to implement preventive measures.Vulnerability ManagementConduct regular vulnerability scans and penetration tests to identify risks and work with IT/engineering teams to remediate vulnerabilities.Maintain and update the organization's risk register to ensure ongoing security maturity.Policy, Compliance & GovernanceDevelop and maintain security policies, procedures and standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.Ensure adherence to industry best practices for incident response and security awareness training.Identity & Access ManagementManage IAM tools and enforce least-privilege access controls to maintain secure environments.Oversee MFA, SSO, and privileged access management solutions to ensure seamless user experience.Collaboration & DocumentationWork closely with IT, DevOps, and engineering teams to maintain secure and resilient systems.Prepare detailed security reports, incident summaries and audit documentation to facilitate informed decision-making.
