Identifying, evaluating, and qualifying potential suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability criteria. Maintaining strong relationships with existing suppliers and developing new vendor partnerships. Negotiating favorable terms, pricing, and service level agreements with vendors. Cost Management and Budget Optimization. Implementing cost reduction initiatives through strategic negotiations and process improvements.Developing business cases for capital purchases and major procurement decisions. Conducting spend analysis to identify savings opportunities and cost trends. Inventory Management and Planning. Collaborating with planning teams to forecast demand and optimize inventory levels. Implementing inventory control measures to minimize carrying costs and stockouts. Cross-Functional Collaboration and Communication. Working closely with R&D, operations, warehouse, logistics, finance and project management teams to understand requirements. Providing procurement expertise and recommendations to internal stakeholders. Facilitating communication between suppliers and internal teams. Knowledge in pharma material procurement (Especially in LR ,AR grade materials, Impurities, reference standards). Techno commercial (Chemistry knowledge). Just-in-time procurement. Risk management. Basic Pharma GMP knowledge. Good Compliance knowledge related to procurement. Spend Data Analysis. Cost Benefit Analysis. Price Variance Analysis
