Overview: An Admission Counsellor plays a critical role in the organization by guiding prospective students through the admissions process and providing them with information and support to aid in their decision-making. They are responsible for maintaining strong relationships with educational institutions, promoting the institution's programs, and assisting students in meeting their academic and career goals.Key Responsibilities:Assisting prospective students through the admissions processProviding accurate information on academic programs and admission requirementsDeveloping and implementing recruitment strategiesInitiating and maintaining relationships with schools, colleges, and universitiesConducting campus tours and information sessions for prospective students and familiesReviewing and evaluating applications and making admission decisionsParticipating in marketing and promotional activitiesAssisting with the planning and execution of recruitment eventsTracking and reporting on recruitment activities and resultsSupporting students with financial aid and scholarship informationCollaborating with academic and administrative departmentsProviding excellent customer service to prospective students and familiesParticipating in training and professional development activitiesContributing to the achievement of recruitment targetsMaintaining updated knowledge of industry trends and best practicesRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a relevant fieldProven experience in admissions or student recruitmentStrong understanding of the higher education landscapeExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamProficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft OfficeKnowledge of academic program requirements and career pathwaysAbility to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficientlyAttention to detail and strong organizational skillsExperience in event planning and executionUnderstanding of financial aid and scholarship processesProblem-solving and decision-making abilitiesAbility to work flexible hours and travel as neededCommitment to diversity, equity, and inclusionAdherence to ethical and confidentiality standards
