The Market Research and Financial Analyst will provide critical insights through thorough market research, competitive analysis, and financial modeling, enabling informed strategic business decisions. Reporting to the Head of Corporate Development, this role will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as sales, marketing, and finance to drive company growth.
Key ResponsibilitiesMarket Research
- Conduct in-depth analysis of market trends, customer needs, and industry dynamics.
- Review industry reports, analyze market data, and gather customer feedback.
- Identify new market opportunities and assess potential risks.
Competitive Benchmarking
- Perform benchmarking to evaluate competitor strengths, weaknesses, and positioning.
- Create detailed competitive landscapes and SWOT analyses to guide strategic planning.
Pitch Book Development
- Design and deliver compelling pitch books and presentations highlighting the company's value proposition.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to ensure impactful visuals and messaging for clients and investors.
Financial Modeling
- Build and maintain complex financial models for forecasting and planning.
- Analyze historical data, market trends, and operational metrics to assess the financial implications of key initiatives.
Due Diligence
- Conduct due diligence to assess the viability and risks of potential business opportunities, partnerships, and acquisitions.
- Gather, analyze, and validate critical information to support informed decision-making.
Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)
- Apply basic M&A concepts to evaluate potential acquisition targets and strategic partnerships.
- Assist in developing integration plans and analyzing synergies to ensure alignment with business objectives.
Business Analysis
- Partner with teams to evaluate business performance and uncover growth opportunities.
- Provide actionable insights to improve operations, profitability, and strategic alignment.
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting by working closely with finance and accounting teams.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- MBA or CFA designation is a plus.
Experience:
- Senior Associate Level: 4–6 years of relevant experience, including familiarity with due diligence and basic M&A concepts.
- Expertise in market research, competitive benchmarking, and financial modeling.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with other analytics and visualization tools is an advantage.
Core Competencies:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to present findings effectively.
- Ability to manage and deliver high-quality results within tight deadlines.
- Proven experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
