Role Responsibilities:
- Overall adherence to safe practices and procedures of oneself and the teams aligned
- Drive implementation of best safety practices across the unit.
- Ensure the effective implementation of work permit and other world class best practices.
- Device better specific safety controls to minimize man/machine interference.
- Contributing to development of procedures, practices and systems that ensures safe operations and compliance
- Review the awareness campaigns/initiatives and ensure increased awareness of employees on EHS policies & procedures on a continuous basis.
- Review the progress and ensure accidents/incidents reduction and fire prevention.
- Identify and develop control plans for hazards which exist at the site
- Driving a corporate culture that promotes Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) mindset and operational discipline at the workplace at all times.
- Investigate Incidents and take steps to prevent recurrence
- Ensuring safety of self, teams and plant by adhering to safety protocols and always following EHS requirements in the workplace.
- Develop and devise implementation plans for health, safety & environmental training
- Govern and Review safety metrics from time to time & accountable for the achievement of safety goals
- Dive the implementation of Industrial Hygiene & Occupational Health Standards and guidelines through the workplace monitoring techniques, training and awareness.
- Drive the timely completion of annual employee health check-up process and submission of reports.
- Ensure good health of employees and prevent them from any harmful exposures.
Critical Experience
- Implementing EHS management systems and processes, standards, and policies
- Emergency management System (Operational/tactical/ Strategic)
- Knowledge of EHS statutory requirements/regulations and practice
- Experience in implementing safety programs in fast paced manufacturing environments
- IT literate, with the ability to use the full Microsoft Office package
- Develop people, organization, and self- advance, collaboration across boundaries
Educational Qualification
Graduate Engineer from a recognized University, M.Tech. Candidates are Preferred. Diploma in Industrial Safety from State Board, RLI, CLI
Experience: 9+ years of relevant experience
