JOB DESCRIPTION

Title:

Senior Manager - DGM Electrical - Design

The position reports to:

Head- Design & Engineering

1. Purpose

1. To lead and oversee the Electrical Design of all projects by collaborating, engaging, and directing the Consultants, Internal stakeholders, and Contractors.

2. Act as the point of contact in the Design & Engineering team to interface internally and externally on all issues related to Electrical project design guidelines, and audits, assisting in execution and delivery.

3. Must be able to lead the Electrical team to complete tasks within established project schedules and budget constraints.

2. Role Description

1) Overall responsible for developing and designing detailed engineering activities. Provides technical advice/input relevant to Electrical systems.

2) Review,& scrutinizewith value enginnering to engineering reports, budgets, tender documents, and cost estimates and assists in the evaluation of the proposal

3) Plans, assigns, supervises, and reviews electrical design for planning, designing, and cost estimating. Attends pre-construction meetings with internal stakeholders, consultants, Vendors, etc.& and interacts with them to develop requirement-specific solutions.

4) Interact with Technical Consultants to ensure design achievability. Initiate new ideas and innovation of research and design.

5) Responsible for delivering Electrical solutions to engineering queries and requests from internal/external stakeholders of the Company

6) Ensures that the RFPs for each project are clearly documented and communicated to appropriate personnel in keeping with the approved procedures. Assists in developing Schedules and Milestones towards achieving the end date of assigned projects and submits for approval

7) Health & Safety Leads Cost & Budget Management and provides oversight and guidance relevant to cost estimates for Electrical systems.

8) Ensures adherence to quality control, monitoring compliance with building and safety codes and relevant regulations & and norms

9) Leadership level for self-competence and team training. Ensure to provide quality design and on-time delivery.

10) Prepare design tools and methods competence and implement good design practices.

11) Need to give Electrical inputs & Assumptions on TDD stage for Design & Costing

12) Managing Points:

- Horizontal deployment of Design improvements identified from the past projects,

- Finalization of Customization packages,

- Electrical Value Engineering - Savings,

- Design Change post start of construction, Electrical Optimization, Release of GFC drawings

- Review & and recommend amendments to the method statement/checklist for electrical-related works.

- Interprets the sequence of electrical activities and their interface with civil activities,

- Review, validate, and recommend changes in the shop drawings issued for electrical works

- Review, validate, and approve equipment notes for electrical equipment/utilities

15) Solve problems within the work area through simple why analysis and QC tools &. Solve identified problem at phenomenon/failure mode level

16) Conduct failure analysis and take up advanced technology projects

17) Understand various elements of risk associated with product costing and arrive at a mitigation plan

18) Comprehensive Electrical Scheduling, Planning and coordination, and commercials at the project office.

19) Liaison / Coordinate with project consultants/ contractors for statutory approvals KSPCB, BESCOM/KPTCL/CEIG, etc.

20) Formulation of Macro and micro-Project Schedules / Review of construction schedules of subcontractors, Cash Flow Statement

21) Ensuring smooth handover of the flats and Electrical services to the Facility team

3. Requirements

Minimum - B. Tech/B.E. in Electrical - 15 years and above experience in high-rise buildings
