Job Title: Financial Operations SpecialistWe are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our financial operations department, you will play a crucial role in supporting our company's growth and success.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and financial operations, with experience in managing day-to-day bookkeeping, accounts receivable and payable, reconciliations, and financial reporting. You will also be comfortable working in a highly automated environment and be able to troubleshoot accounting discrepancies.In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our automated systems and identify areas for improvement. Your analytical and organizational skills will enable you to optimize our financial workflows and ensure accuracy in our financial records.Key Responsibilities:Manage day-to-day bookkeeping in QuickBooksOversee accounts receivable and accounts payable, including preparing and scheduling paymentsHandle reconciliation of bank, credit card, and payment accountsIdentify and suggest improvements to financial workflows and automation logicAssist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reportsSupport Canadian tax compliance (GST/HST, payroll remittances, year-end filing)Assist with U.S. tax-related tasks as we expand into the U.S.Maintain accurate classification of transactions and general ledger recordsRequirements:Strong knowledge of QuickBooks (mandatory)Experience with payments, billing, invoicing, reconciliations, and financial trackingComfortable with technology and working in a highly automated environmentAbility to troubleshoot accounting discrepancies and handle non-standard casesKnowledge of Canadian tax processes preferredFamiliarity with U.S. tax is an assetExtremely detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skillsExcellent communication and ability to work independentlyPrior bookkeeping or accounting experience (small business/startup experience is a plus)Nice-to-Have Skills:Cross-border tax knowledge (Canada/USA)Experience optimizing accounting automations or workflowsFamiliarity with payment platforms and financial reporting toolsWhy Apply:This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the growth and success of our company.
