Role Overview


We are looking for a Backend Engineer with 1-3 years of experience to develop and maintain the backbone of our platform. As an SDE 1 (Backend), you will be responsible for designing scalable systems, creating APIs, and collaborating with frontend engineers to deliver a seamless user experience.


Key Responsibilities


  • Develop, maintain, and optimize backend services that power the Lyfskills platform.
  • Design and implement robust APIs for integration with frontend and third-party systems.
  • Build scalable and secure systems to handle high traffic and large datasets.
  • Work closely with the product and frontend teams to deliver end-to-end features.
  • Debug, diagnose, and resolve backend performance and reliability issues.
  • Write clean, efficient, and reusable code adhering to best practices.


Technical Skills


  • Proficiency in Node.js for building server-side applications.
  • Knowledge of Python.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful API design and development.
  • Experience with databases, preferably PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.

  • 1-3 years of experience in software development, with start-ups or early-stage ventures.
  • Experience with marketplace or consumer-facing platforms is a plus.
