Proximity Foundation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to oversee our overall operations, fund allocation, and ensure the smooth functioning of initiatives. Reporting directly to the CEO, they will play a crucial role in shaping the foundation's strategies, optimising resources, and ensuring the effective implementation of our programs.This is an individual contributor role that requires a strong ability to handle a wide range of operational tasks independently, while also taking the initiative to build and manage a team from the ground up. You'll be responsible for —Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the foundation, ensuring smooth functioning and alignment with our mission and values. Developing and managing the foundation's operational budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maintaining financial transparency. Creating and implementing operational strategies to maximize the foundation's impact and reach. Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of our initiatives. Monitoring and evaluating the foundation's programs to measure impact and identify areas for improvement. Recruiting and assessing the right fit for both volunteer positions and regular hires, thus ensuring the team's growth and success. Building and maintaining relationships with key partners, donors, and stakeholders to support the foundation's growth and sustainability. Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to the foundation's operations. You need —5+ years of operations management experience, preferably in the non-profit or education sector. Proven ability to independently manage trust funds, budgets, and financial reporting. Proficiency in creating actionable reports using Excel. Proven excellence in developing compelling presentations using PowerPoint or Keynote. Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities. Strong passion for education and commitment to empowering underprivileged communities. To be deeply empathetic and have a strong rationale while taking decisions and driving things internally and externally. Bonus points in case you've worked in the technology or engineering field.
