Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Senior Data Engineer with 4-6+ years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building and optimizing scalable data pipelines, handling complex data sets, and enabling advanced analytics. Experience with machine learning (ML) and natural language processing (NLP) is a bonus but not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities 

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines to process structured and unstructured data.

• Build robust data integration frameworks to collect, transform, and store large datasets from diverse sources.

• Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to prepare data for machine learning and NLP applications.

• Implement and optimize data storage solutions such as data lakes, warehouses, and databases (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).

• Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance through effective validation and monitoring mechanisms.

• Optimize query performance for large-scale datasets using distributed computing technologies.

• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT processes using modern data engineering tools and frameworks.

• Stay updated with the latest trends in big data, ML, and NLP technologies and integrate them into workflows when applicable.


Required Skills and Qualifications 

• 4-6+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field.

• Proficiency in working with large, complex datasets in real-time and batch processing environments.

• Hands-on experience with data pipeline tools like Apache Spark, Apache Airflow, or dbt.

• Strong understanding of cloud data ecosystems, such as AWS (S3, Glue, Redshift), GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow), or Azure (Data Factory, Synapse Analytics).

• Proficient in SQL and at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Scala).

• Familiarity with distributed systems and frameworks like Hadoop or Kafka.

• Solid understanding of data modeling techniques for OLAP and OLTP systems.

• Knowledge of CI/CD principles for deploying and maintaining data infrastructure.

Nice-to-Have Skills

 • Experience working with machine learning pipelines or frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.

• Familiarity with NLP techniques and libraries such as spaCy, BERT, or Hugging Face Transformers.

• Knowledge of data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.

• Exposure to graph databases and analytics (e.g., Neo4j, Amazon Neptune).

• Relevant certifications in cloud platforms or big data technologies.
