Job Description: AGM/DGMAccounts & Finance (Real Estate DevelopmentCompany)PositionOverview:TheAGM/DGM holds a key leadership role within a real estatedevelopment company responsible for overseeing the financialoperations reporting and analysis of the organization. Thisposition requires a strong background in accounting and financeexceptional analytical skills and the ability to manage complexfinancial transactions and reporting requirements. The AGM/DGM willcollaborate closely with senior management project teams andexternal stakeholders to ensure accurate financial recordscompliance with regulations and effective financialdecisionmaking.
Responsibilities:
1.FinancialManagement:Oversee the daytoday financial operations of the company includingaccounts payable accounts receivable general ledger andpayroll. Developand implement financial policies procedures and controls to ensureaccurate and timely recording of financialtransactions.Prepare and analyse financial statements including balance sheetsincome statements and cash flowstatements. Monitorfinancial performance identify areas of improvement and proposestrategies to optimize profitability and cashflow.
2.Budgeting andForecasting: Leadthe annual budgeting process working closely with department headsto develop comprehensive budgets aligned with company goals andobjectives. Preparefinancial forecasts and projections to support strategicdecisionmaking and longtermplanning. Monitorbudget performance and variances providing regular reports andanalysis to seniormanagement.Identify costsaving opportunities and implement measures tooptimize resourceallocation.
3.Financial Reporting andCompliance:Ensure compliance with accounting principles regulations andreporting standards (e.g. IAS GAAP AFCIFRS). Prepareaccurate and timely financial reports for internal stakeholderssenior management and external parties (e.g. investorslenders).Coordinate and oversee the external audit process acting as theprimary liaison withauditors. Maintainand update financial records and documentation ensuring adherenceto recordkeepingrequirements.
4.Cash FlowManagement:Manage the companys cash flow including forecasting cash needsmonitoring inflows and outflows and optimizing workingcapital. Coordinatewith project managers and other stakeholders to trackprojectspecific cash flowrequirements.Implement strategies to mitigate financial risks and manageliquidityeffectively.
5.Financial Analysis and DecisionSupport: Conductfinancial analysis including profitability analysis investmentevaluation and costanalysis. Provideinsightful financial information and recommendations to seniormanagement for decisionmaking and strategicplanning. Evaluatefinancial feasibility and viability of potential real estatedevelopmentprojects. Supportbusiness development activities including financial modelling duediligence and investmentanalysis.
6.Team Management andDevelopment: Leadand supervise the accounting and finance team providing guidancementoring and professional developmentopportunities.Foster a collaborative and highperformance work environmentpromoting teamwork and continuousimprovement.Conduct regular performance evaluations set goals and provideconstructivefeedback.
Qualification:Qualified CA with Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience inaccounting and finance preferably in the real estate developmentindustry with 300 Cr turnover business. Professionalaccounting designation (e.g. CPA) is highlydesirable. Indepthknowledge of accounting principles financial regulations andreporting standards (e.g. GAAP IAS AFCIFRS). Strongunderstanding of real estate development financial processesincluding project accounting cost allocation and revenuerecognition. Provenexperience in financial analysis budgeting andforecasting.Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financialdata and generate meaningfulinsights.Proficiency in financial management software and ERPsystems. Strongleadership and team managementabilities.Exceptional communication and interpersonalskills. Attentionto detail and accuracy in financial reporting andanalysis. Abilityto prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlineseffectively.Understanding of real estate industry dynamics market trends andrelevant taxregulations.
