**Costing Professional Job Opportunity**Job OverviewThis role involves providing critical costing support to various business units. As a Costing Professional, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely product costing activities within the finance centre of excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesTransition of Business Activities: You will lead the transition of business unit level costing activities to the finance centre of excellence.Product Costing: Responsible for product costing activities performed within the ERP system (SAP) for markets with centralised costing.Analysis of Variance: Establish a process for analysis of variances and provide business insights including actionable items to reduce variances compared to established standards.Inventory Valuation Support: Provide support and guidance for inventory valuation, covering calculation of capitalised variances and stock provisions.Process Liaison: Liaise with technology teams to resolve issues in processes or reports.Ad Hoc Analysis: Perform ad hoc analysis as required, including deep dives to identify issues.Dashboard Validation: Validate dashboards and reports relating to inventory, procurement, and factory performance.Group Projects: Support group projects requiring centralised costing support.Principal AccountabilitiesSingle Point of Contact: Be the single point contact for SAP product costing.Independent Handling: Independently handle entire product costing activities on SAP.Regular Review: Regularly review materials pending cost release and liaise with markets for timely update of standard costs.Standard Cost Release: End-to-end support for release of standard costs following group methodology for standard cost calculation.Accuracy Reviews: Conduct reviews to ensure accuracy of standard costs.Master Data Review: Review and validate master data components impacting product costing such as bill of materials, routings, costing lot size, and procurement keys.Operational AnalysisProcurement Transactions: Analyse procurement transactions and identify cause for price variance.Exceptions and Abnormal Variances: Review exceptions and abnormal variances, liaising with markets for corrective action.Factory Variance Analysis: Factory variance analysis and consolidation.Insightful Reports: Develop reports providing insights into price and factory variances.Month Close ActivitiesGross Stocks Review: Review of gross stocks and reports providing value of gross stock based on group accounting policy.Variance Calculation: Calculate variance according to group policies.Provision Adherence: Adherence to standard methodology for calculation of provisions, bringing improvements in process as required.Ad Hoc Business SupportTransaction Deep Dives: Deep dives into transactions and processes to identify issues and provide solutions.Dashboard Validation: Validation of dashboards and reports.Guidance Provision: Provide guidance to markets relating to standard processes and methodologies in areas related to costing and inventory valuation.RequirementsCandidate Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need to have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.Desirable Qualifications: A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is desirable but not essential.
