Job OpportunityWe are seeking a Senior Applied Scientist to develop and oversee the entire ML pipeline and orchestration layer. This includes data integration, feature engineering, ML pipeline and training, MLOps and deployment, orchestration, observability, activation, and APIs.Data Integration & Schemas: Ingest and model data from various sources, define event taxonomy, identity graph, and data contracts.Feature Engineering: Build offline/online features for customer lifetime value, propensity, and clustering; ensure parity with a feature store and model registry.ML Pipeline & Training: Establish reproducible training pipelines with experiment tracking, hyperparameter search, and evaluation.MLOps & Deployment: Package models, deploy to managed services, implement CI/CD, and design blue-green/rollback patterns.Orchestration: Schedule jobs, manage dependencies, SLAs, retries, design backfills, and incremental loads.Observability: Implement data quality checks, model performance monitoring, alerting, and cost guardrails.Activation & APIs: Ship fast, robust services to push signals into external platforms.Experimentation & Measurement: Partner with product/GTM on uplift tests, holdouts, and calibration to prove incremental value.The ideal candidate has 7-10+ years of experience shipping DS/ML systems to production, fluency in Python, SQL, and one major cloud, and knowledge of MLOps and orchestration. They should be able to design measurement plans and communicate trade-offs with clarity. Desired skills include streaming, privacy/consent, clean rooms, Shopify/subscription analytics, and founding-team impact.
