With endless advancement opportunities and an intent to differentiate ourselves in the electric vehicle marketplace, we were focused on developing a specialized talent pool, capable of rolling-out, the first 100% in-house built vehicle, while establishing a fully owned and managed, subsidiary, called Chetak Technology Limited.



Job Title: Group Leader – Charging Systems

Work Location: Akurdi, Pune

Qualification: B.E/ B Tech in Electrical, Electronics/Instrumentation, E&TC

M Tech in Power Electronics (preferred)

Experience: 10+ years


Key Responsibilities

  • Define onboard and off board vehicle charging system architecture and implement charging ecosystem for EVs.
  • Define the communication interface between vehicle and charging station in line with the prevalent charging standards.
  • Define power quality requirements for charging systems and ensure compliance with the Electricity Grid standards.
  • Ensure quality in design/ development process through FMEA techniques and apply all such tools in the design phase.
  • Define performance and reliability test parameters, procedures for EV charging systems.
  • Establish product specifications, derive system architectures and converter topologies for various products related to vehicle charging.
  • Track the deployment of EV infrastructure in India and the world and define appropriate work plan.
  • Define work plan in short/ long term, prepare training plan and provide the same for the group and manage overall capability enhancement.
  • Engage product development teams from concept to production including design proposal, design reviews, test plans, and test results review.
  • Lead field failure analysis, establish root cause and develop corrective action plans

Specific expertise required for functional area:

· Proficient in industrial electrical system design and integration, including aspects of power quality and transients.

· Expert in 230V / 415V Electrical system safety and reliability

· Basic understanding of software flow for developing charging state flow under various scenarios

· Familiar with electric vehicle standards and regulations.

· Familiar with automotive Product Development Process

· Knowledge of Industrial Electric Supply Regulatory Requirements

· Knowledge of safety aspects including high voltage/ power connectors & electrical insulation and leakage requirements etc.

· Exposure/ awareness to global regulatory authorities and other associations who formulate regulations for EV charging stations.

· Experience in design of power electronic converters (electrical and thermal)

· Shall have good understanding of DFSS methodology.

· Hands on experience in design of On-Board Chargers and DC/DC for industrial or aerospace or military drives, battery electric or hybrid electric vehicle systems

· Feature improvement/optimization and cost optimization of products.
