Job Summary:
The Portfolio Support Analyst supports the Business Platforms Delivery organization by collating and reporting the overall status each of the Platforms’ Portfolios covering both proposed projects as well in-flight projects. Also provide visibility to the overall portfolio health.This role also facilitates the demand management process through the complete life cycle (Request, Qualification, Assessment/Prioritization, Scheduling and Delivery and provides support and guidance to the project teams on the Delivery Framework/Process, Tools/Templates. Enable the project teams to be process compliant and will contribute to the continuous enhancements of the Delivery Framework and Tools.
Key Accountabilities :
Collate the status of all the projects in each Platform’s portfolio & present the overall portfolio status and health to the Business Platforms’ delivery leadership.Collaborate with all program/project managers & collate the details of each project’s status and health.Support the Platform Delivery Lead in organizing and conducting Portfolio Governance forums and Stage-Gate reviews. Publish minutes and follow up on actions.Collate Risks/Issues/Dependencies (RAID) across the various projects. Organize RAID reviews with the programs/project managers.Lead the Demand Management process for medium/small projects. Collate the change requests (CRs) and coordinate through the complete life cycle covering Request, Qualification, Assessment, Prioritization, Scheduling and Delivery. Facilitate the required forums with the business, engineering and delivery teams.Set up the tools and templates for the Portfolio and Demand Management. These includes setting up the projects in Workfront, Sharepoint sites, Teams channels, Azure devops iterations etc. Provide required training and handholding to project & business teams.Contribute to the continuous enhancements of the Delivery Framework and ToolsAnalysis and Requirements Definition: Employ a range of tools and techniques to gather business and user requirements against the clear objectives articulated for the project.
Qualifications :
Overall, 7+ years’ experience out of which 2-4 years of experience in PMO/Portfolio Support role using suitable enterprise portfolio management processes and tools.
Mandatory skills and experience
:
Solid understanding of portfolio structure (programs, projects and subprojects).In depth experience in structured and formal delivery governance framework.Proficient in collating & presenting the status of all the projects in each Platform’s portfolio.Expert at facilitating portfolio governance reviews. Good knowledge of Stage-Gate checklists.Ability to organize project / RAID reviews and follow through the action items.Expert at organizing the various demand management forums.Expert in project management tools – MS Project and Workfront.Expert in setting up portfolio/program/project repositories.Working experience in Azure Devops tools.Proficient in Excel metrics/charts.Demonstrated Flair for PMO processes and tools improvements.Proficient in Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) - both waterfall and agile/devops; Preferably with certifications in Azure DevOps/JIRA or Agile Scrum.Strong interpersonal and collaboration skillsExcellent communication skillsExperience within a large, global organization would be advantageous.
Desired skills:
Functional knowledge of Workfront applicationCertification in Azure Devops or JIRA.Working experience in a complex matrixed, international and cross-cultural organization.
